Win32 Evo Gen Là Gì

Create by : https://globalizethis.org

I have an Acer Aspire 5738Z laptop running Windows 7 that has become infected by the virus Win32:Evo-gen

– i have downloaded new antivirus software today (Kaspersky 2013) but i still cannot get my printer (Lexmark Pro700 series) to work anymore. I had a trial version of Avast internet security running which picked up the virus initially but couldnt remove it – the new antivirus software has not found anything wrong with my computer. How can I find and remove the infected files or programs??

Installing new antivirus software on an infected PC is not advised.

Assuming that the infection has been removed, your problem sounds more like you didn”t fully remove Avast and it and Kaspersky are dueling, which would cause issues. When you say the printer doesn”t work, what does that mean? How is the printer attached to the PC? Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver and/or software?

Thanks Steve – the printer was attached to the PC by USB cable – as you suggested I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software and the printer works again.

I did remove Avast before downloading the new Kaspersky antivirus protection (at least I couldn”t see anything from Avast in the uninstall or change program list under the control panel after selecting uninstall Avast software).

The PC was previously trouble free and internet was quick – now I find internet is very slow and PC often crashes or on opening says it didn”t shut down properly and has to restart. Kaspersky doesn”t seem to be finding anything wrong with the PC when it scans for viruses etc and neither does Windows Defender.

So I am back to trying to find a way to remove the virus manually – if it is in fact still the problem.

As a programmer, that *USED* to run Avast! Antivirus… I can tell you that 90% of the exe”s that Visual Studio (2010, 2012, 2013) makes are classified as Win32:Evo-Gen … this is because Avast! is horribly over eager to call something, anything, a virus to look like it”s doing a great job. It also flagged the Bifrost Particle generation system, currently used by Autodesk”s Maya 2015, as “Bifrost ” based solely on the name alone. Note: the version of Maya 2015 was downloaded directly through Autodesk.com”s site, with full userlicensing. (I.e., not a crack with a suspicious malware lurking in the wings…)

The programs written that flagged the Evo-Gen ranged from the default “Windows Form Application” project type that comes with ttmn.mobi Visual Studio to basic style applications… Avast! determined that it was malware, removed it off of the suspicious flag, and refused to allow it to run, even in a sandbox. This makes testing your program extremely difficult. (Apparently, if your application is under 1 meg, it gets flagged.) I am saying all of this because I too am rather tired of having an over enthusiastic antivirus software block everything that I try to do, from programming to printing out pic”s of my kids, because it removes key files solely off of file size.

I”m tired of the headaches of trying to get the software that I purchase to work on a brand new system that has Avast!”s AV software on it, and I am tired of having Avast! steal focus away from Word, IE, Various video games, Maya, VS2013, etc., every time it scans a file in the “background”….

it”s obtrusive and outright enraging.

I can tell you, you didn”t have a virus — you had a “Suspected” (based on file size alone, not even a scan or heuristics analysis of the file) “virus” AKA, a FALSE POSITIVE that it removed causing your printer not to work.

So, unless ttmn.mobi has gotten into the creation of virii as a past time hobby, and posing said virii off as Genuine ttmn.mobi Products, I am inclined to believe that the real virus here is Avast! itself.

Get a real antivirus (such as Kasperski, AVG, Bitdefender, etc.) and drop Avast! into the garbage where it belongs.
